Vbe asọn nii, e Nọyaẹnmwa keghi rhiegbe ma rẹn vbe imina, ọ nọ rẹn wẹẹ, “De emwi ne u hoo ne I ru nuẹn?”
In Gibʹe·on Jehovah appeared to Solʹo·mon in a dream by night, and God said: “Ask what you would like me to give you.”
6 E Sọlomọn keghi wanniẹn wẹẹ, “Erriọ ẹre u vbe gha hoẹmwẹ e Devid ne erha mwẹ, ọguọmwadia ruẹ, irẹn keghi wa vbe gha maan, ọ guobọ ruẹ, ọ na vbe gha re nọ gie a mu ẹtin yan vbe emwi nọ ghaa ru vbe odaro ruẹ. U keghi ye vbe gha hoẹmwẹ ọnrẹn khian, vbekpae ne u na rhie ọmọ okpia nẹẹn nọ rriọba lelẹe.
6 At this Solʹo·mon said: “You have shown great loyal love toward your servant David my father as he walked before you in faithfulness and in righteousness and in uprightness of heart. You have continued to show him this great loyal love down to this day by giving him a son to sit on his throne.
7 E Nọyaẹnmwa, Osanobua, u ya mwẹ rriọba lele erha mwẹ nẹ, agharhemiẹn wẹẹ, ọvbokhan ẹre I khin, I ma vbe rẹn vbene a ya gbaroghe ẹvbo hẹ.
7 And now, Jehovah my God, you have made your servant king in the place of David my father, though I am just a youth* and I am inexperienced.*
8 Ghee mwẹ nian vbuwe ẹbu emwa ne u zẹ nọ gha re ọghuẹ, emwa ne a miẹn wẹẹ iran bun sẹrriọ, ai vbe sẹtin ka iran.
8 Your servant is among your people whom you have chosen, a people so vast that they cannot be numbered or counted.
9 Rhunmwuda ọni, rhie ẹwaẹn mẹ ne I ya gha gbaroghe emwa na vbene a na ta ẹmwata kevbe ne a na rẹn emwi nọ maan hin nẹi maan rre. Adeghẹ ẹi re erriọ, vbia gha ya gbaroghe okpe emwa ruẹ na hẹ?”
9 So grant your servant an obedient heart to judge your people, to discern between good and bad, for who is able to judge this numerous* people of yours?”
10 Ẹko keghi rhiẹnrhiẹn e Nọyaẹnmwa ye emwi ne Sọlomọn nọ rẹn na.
10 It was pleasing to Jehovah that Solʹo·mon had requested this.
Or “little boy.”
Lit., “and I do not know going out and coming in.”
Or possibly, “difficult.” Lit., “heavy.”

I gha rhie emwi ne u nọ rẹn ne nuẹn. I gha rhie ẹwaẹn kevbe irẹnmwi nuẹn sẹ emwa hia ni ke aro nuẹn kevbe ni gha vbe rre vbe iyeke ruẹ.
I will do what you asked. I will give you a wise and understanding heart, so that just as there has never been anyone like you before, there will never be anyone like you again.

Banbanna nian, e Nọyaẹnmwa mu eyan ne ọ yan rẹn sẹ. Mẹ lele Devid ne erha mwẹ nẹ zẹvbe ọba Izrẹl, I vbe bọ Ọgua Osa nẹ ne a na gha ga e Nọyaẹnmwa ne Osanobua Izrẹl
Jehovah has carried out the promise that he made, for I have succeeded my father David and I sit on the throne of Israel, just as Jehovah promised. I have also built the house for the name of Jehovah the God of Israel
(1 Ki. 8:61)
Te uwa ne emwa rẹn gha guobọ e Nọyaẹnmwa ne Osanobua mwa, ne uwa gha ya uhi kevbe iyi ẹre hia ru emwi, zẹ vbene uwa ru ẹdẹnẹrẹ na.
So let your heart be complete with* Jehovah our God by walking in his regulations and by keeping his commandments as on this day.”

When the queen of Sheʹba had seen all the wisdom of Solʹo·mon, the house that he built,
5 evbare nọ mu ye otọ, kevbe ewae ni winna vbe ẹguae ẹre, owa esiesi nọ bọlọe ne emwa iwinna rẹn, iguemwi kevbe ukpọn esiesi ne eguọmwadia ẹre hẹ ye egbe, iran ni sa ayọn nẹẹn kevbe ese nọ zọ vbe Ọgua Osa. Ose avbe emwi na hia keghi gbe okhuo nii fi otọ.
5 the food of his table, the seating of his servants, the table service of his waiters and their attire, his cupbearers, and his burnt sacrifices that he regularly offered up at the house of Jehovah, she was left completely breathless.*
6 Irẹn keghi tama e Sọlomọn wẹẹ, “Ẹmwẹ ne I họẹn vbe ẹvbo mwẹ vbekpa ruẹ kevbe ẹwaẹn ruẹn, ẹmwata nọ.
6 So she said to the king: “The report that I heard in my own land about your achievements* and about your wisdom was true.
7 Sokpan, I ma ya ẹre yi, I te rre do tobọ mwẹ ye aro mwẹ miẹn ọnrẹn. Sokpan, I ma kue họn sẹ ukhiọnmwẹ ọnrẹn, ẹwaẹn kevbe ẹfe ruẹ sẹ vbene a ta ma mwẹ ẹsẹse.
7 But I did not put faith in the reports until I had come and had seen it with my own eyes. And look! I had not been told the half. You have far surpassed in wisdom and prosperity the report that I heard.
8 U miẹn uhunmwu esi ne ikhuo ne u viọre mwẹ! U miẹn uhunmwu esi ne iran mwẹ ighẹ avbe eguọmwadia ruẹ ni mudia ke ruẹ ne iran gha họn ẹmwẹ ẹwaẹn ne u ta vbe ẹghẹ hia.
8 Happy are your men, and happy are your servants who stand before you constantly, listening to your wisdom!
9 Urhomwẹ nọ ne Nọyaẹnmwa Osanobua ruẹ. Ọ wa rhiema vbene ẹmwẹ ruẹ yẹẹ ọre hẹ, nọ na yae ma ọba, ne u gha ye ẹmwata kevbe ai ghe ikpanro khaevbisẹ.”
9 May Jehovah your God be praised, who has taken pleasure in you by putting you on the throne of Israel. Because of Jehovah’s everlasting love for Israel, he appointed you as king to administer justice and righteousness.”

E Sọlomọn keghi viọ ikhuo ni re ivbiọba iyisẹn yan arria eha (700) rọnmwẹ. Ọ keghi vbe zẹlẹ ọse iyisẹn yan uri (300). Iran keghi yae fi iyeke gbe Osanobua,
And he had 700 wives who were princesses and 300 concubines, and his wives gradually inclined his heart.*

Ọ kegha gho Astat ne ẹbọ ne okhuo ọghe Saidọn kevbe Milkọm ne ẹbọ emwiekhue ọghe Amọn.
And Solʹo·mon followed after Ashʹto·reth, the goddess of the Si·doʹni·ans, and Milʹcom, the disgusting god of the Amʹmon·ites.
6 Ọ keghi ru orukhọ ghe Nọyaẹnmwa, ọ ma ghi rhie ekhọe lele ẹre zẹẹ vbene Devid ne erha ẹre gha ye.
6 And Solʹo·mon did what was bad in the eyes of Jehovah, and he did not follow Jehovah completely* as David his father had done.
7 Ọ keghi bọ ehe ne a na gho Kiẹmọs ne ẹbọ emwiekhue Moab ye odẹ ahọ e Jerusalẹm kevbe ehe ne a na gho e Milkọm ne ẹbọ emwiekhue Amọn.
7 It was then that Solʹo·mon built a high place to Cheʹmosh, the disgusting god of Moʹab, on the mountain in front of Jerusalem and to Moʹlech, the disgusting god of the Amʹmon·ites.
8 Ọ keghi vbe bọlọ ehe ọkpa ne avbe amwẹ ọnrẹn hia gha na sẹtin gha giẹn eturari ne avbe ẹbọ ughughan ọghe iran.
8 That was what he did for all his foreign wives who were making sacrificial smoke and sacrificing to their gods.

Agharhemiẹn wẹẹ igba eva ọre Nọyaẹnmwa Osanobua Izrẹl rhiegbe ma e Sọlomọn, ọ na tama rẹn wẹẹ ne ọ ghẹ gho ẹbọ eghọẹn,
Jehovah became furious at Solʹo·mon, because his heart had inclined away from Jehovah the God of Israel, who had appeared to him twice
10 e Sọlomọn ma họn ẹmwẹ e Nọyaẹnmwa, sokpan ọ keghi fi iyeke gbe ẹre, rhunmwuda ọni, ohu e Sọlomọn keghi mu e Nọyaẹnmwa.
10 and had warned him about this very thing, that he should not go after other gods. But he did not obey what Jehovah had commanded.
11 Ọ na tama rẹn wẹẹ, “Rhunmwuda ighẹ te uwa yan ruẹe ne u rhia ile ne ima gba ta, u na rra iyi mwẹ, I yan rẹn wẹ I gha miẹn ruẹn arriọba nii, I ghi mu ne ọkpa vbe uwu iran ni winna nuẹn.
11 Jehovah now said to Solʹo·mon: “Because you have done this and you have not kept my covenant and my statutes as I commanded you, I will surely rip the kingdom away from you, and I will give it to one of your servants.
12 Sokpan, rhunmwuda e Devid ne erha a, mẹ i ra ru emwi na vbe ẹghẹ ruẹ sokpan, ẹghẹ ne ovbuẹ gha na rriọba.
12 However, for the sake of your father David, I will not do it in your lifetime. I will rip it out of the hand of your son,
13 I i ra wa vbe miẹn ẹre arriọba nii hia, sokpan, I gha sẹ ẹwae ọkpa rae nẹẹn rhunmwuda e Devid ne ọguọmwadia mwẹ kevbe rhunmwuda e Jerusalẹm ne ẹvbo ne I ya khian ọghomwẹ.”
13 but I will not rip away the entire kingdom. One tribe I will give to your son, for the sake of David my servant and for the sake of Jerusalem, which I have chosen.”
Ohu e Solomọn keghi mu e Jehova, rhunmwuda ọ ma ghi ya ekhọe hia lele Jehova ne Osa ọghe Izrẹl nọ rhiegba ma rẹn igbava.

(1 Ki. 17:22)
E Nọyaẹnmwa keghi họn erhunmwu Elaija, ọmọ nii keghi suẹn gha hiọnrọn, ọ na rinran rre.
Jehovah listened to E·liʹjah’s request, and the life* of the child came back into him, and he revived.*

He went a day’s journey into the wilderness and came and sat down under a broom tree, and he asked that he* might die. He said: “It is enough! Now, O Jehovah, take my life* away, for I am no better than my forefathers.”
